Tuesday, August 12: Met Police (A)
Saturday, August 16: VCD Athletic (A)
Full fixtures to follow.
Hendon began their pre-season schedule with a 3-1 win at Erith and Belvedere – the club’s first-ever indoor match.
Trialists Andre De Costa and Kezie Ibe – who has since joined on a permanent basis – combined to lay on the first goal for the Greens, with new signing Tom O’Regan scoring with a deflected effort.
Chris Hubbard levelled almost immediately for the Deres, shooting beyond Hendon goalkeeper Pedro Nearco.
With 13 minutes remaining, Hendon re-took the lead, Michael Murray firing beyond substitute keeper Richard Stroud thanks to another deflection from a defender.
The job was completed in the 87th minute, Leon Smith working an opening before finishing to round off the win.
Manager Gary McCann said: “Pre-season is a six-week marathon, not a sprint and the players did well enough.
“It was said we would have a few triallists on show, but in pre-season, we are as much on trial as a club as are the players. It is as much do we fit in with what they are looking for, as do they fit in with what we want.”
