A stunning scissor kick from Luisma Villa helped a Barnet XI come back from 2-0 down to draw against Luton Town’s Development Squad in a friendly at Kenilworth Road yesterday.

The Bees found themselves 2-0 down early on thanks to goals from Kynan Isaac and Alex Lacey, before Matt Stevens and Luisma levelled the scores up after the break.

Town took the lead after just ten minutes when Isaac stooped to nod home a Ross Lafayette flick-on, following a throw-on from the right-hand side.

Captain Lacey then doubled the Hatters’ lead when he rose unchallenged to head a free-kick in from six yards.

Half-time Town substitute Charlie Walker saw two good opportunities to kill the game off go astray, before the Bees pulled one back.

Good build-up play down the left-hand side saw Stevens test Luton goalkeeper Elliot Justham with a firm header, before getting back to his feet and nodding beyond the stopper at the second attempt.

Barnet then levelled in stunning fashion when Keanu Marsh-Brown was afforded a criminal amount of space to pick out a perfect cross for Luisma, who in turn fired a measured first-time scissor kick beyond Justham from 15 yards.
