Barnet Elizabethans picked up their fourth consecutive Herts/Middlesex League 1 victory, beating Feltham 20-5 on Saturday.

Despite a strong start, the Elizabethans fell behind. However they did not have to wait long for Peter Moulton to storm through and offload for James Oram to equalise.

Lloyd Morgan, who replaced the injured Moulton, then went over twice to put BE 15-5 ahead.

Harry Avent got the final score of the game when he charged down an attempted clearance before scoring a simple try.

The Elizabethans remain second and face bottom-of-the-league Old Millhillians on Saturday.

In Herts/Middlesex League 2, Hendon saw off a spirited Mill Hill side to win 29-20.

Hendon took charge from the outset, with Mike Evan-Jones scoring and converting his own try before adding two penalties.

Captain Gerry O’Donoghue then scored in the corner and Evan-Jones converted to put Hendon 20-7 ahead at the break.

The visitors fought back valiantly after the restart as Hendon took their foot off the gas, and closed the gap to 26-20 at one stage, with Evan-Jones adding two further penalties.

Yet another Evan-Jones penalty took the score to 29-20 in the dying minutes as Hendon secured the win.
