Hendon returned to winning ways with a 22-18 win at Saracens Amateurs in the Herts-Middlesex League Two on Saturday.
Jamie Connolly opened the scoring for Hendon after six minutes when he picked up from a ruck to cross.
The lead was short lived as Saracens scored from the restart to make it 5-5. The home side then pushed over to take a 10-5 lead.
However Hendon soon hit back, Connolly clearing to Arwel Roberts who touched down. Saracens scored a penalty to take a 13-10 advantage into the break.
Cian Hynes them kicked three penalties to give Hendon a 19-13 lead. However poor defending allowed Saracens to score and move within a point of the visitors.
But Hynes had the final say, sending another penalty over the posts to settle the contest.
Barnet Elizabethans extended their losing streak to four matches by losing out 10-3 against Old Actonians in the Herts-Middlesex League One on Saturday.
The Elizabethans scored inside two minutes with a Harry Eade penalty but two scores from Old Actonians midway through the second period killed of the Elizabethans’ threat.
On Saturday the Elizabethans are away to Verulamians.
