Alex Goode is among five Saracens players included in Stuart Lancaster's England squad to face Ireland in Dublin on Sunday.

Also included are Billy and Mako Vunipola, George Kruis and Richard Wigglesworth, all of whom were selected in the Red Rose's opening two victories over Wales and Italy.

Goode, 26, is expected to start at full back in place of Harlequins' Mike Brown, who suffered concussion in the victory over Italy a fortnight ago.

Brown has been included in the squad and is working his way through the graduated return-to-play protocol. It is expected he will take part in non-contact training today.

Goode, who has 16 caps for England, last featured for the Red Rose as a replacement against Wales in 2014 and made his last Six Nations appearance in 2013, playing in the 12-6 win over Ireland in Dublin.

However, Sarries' Brad Barritt is one of ten players released back to their Premiership clubs ahead of the weekend's action.

As the last two sides with 100 per cent records in this year's Six Nations, England and Ireland face off at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin knowing the clash could go a long way to deciding the eventual outcome of the championship.

England head coach Lancaster told the RFU website: “Preparation has gone well and we’ve had a good build up so far. The guys who played against Wales and Italy did really well and the good thing is that others who are now fit and training are pushing hard for selection.

“We’ve had to make some tough decisions but it’s a good position to be in and those players going back to their clubs have another big weekend ahead to lay down a marker for later in the tournament."
