Argentine centre Marcelo Bosch has become the latest Saracens player to agree a new contract at Allianz Park, following George Kruis and Maro Itoje earlier in the week.

The 31-year-old joins Sarries from Biarritz in October 2013 and has made 40 appearances for the Men in Black since crossing the channel.

Bosch recently underlined his value by kicking the winning points as Saracens reached the European Champions Cup semi-finals by beating Racing Metro 12-11.

Speaking to the club website, the 33-cap Argentine international said: "I’m very happy to sign a new contract with Saracens. Ever since I arrived at the club, I have been treated extremely well, and everyone have made my family feel so welcome.

“One of my goals when I first came to Saracens was to keep learning. I spent seven years in France before the move, so coming here was a big challenge for me in terms of a change of lifestyle, but of course in a change of rugby as well.

"I wanted to learn more and try improve as much as I could in every aspect of the game. I’m very pleased with how things have gone so far. I’m still trying to learn, still trying to improve, and I’m still enjoying myself," he enthused.

Director of rugby, Mark McCall, added: “Marcelo has worked incredibly hard since he arrived at the club, back in October 2013. Since then he has made huge improvements in his game and is constantly looking to get better as a player.

“What’s pleased us most about Marcelo is that he has rediscovered his love for the game. His hunger and determination to improve is second to none. We’re all delighted that Marcelo has decided to extend his stay with the club.”
