Winger Keanu Marsh-Brown has finally completed his protracted move away from Barnet by joining National League side Forest Green Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The former Fulham and Arsenal youngster has been training with Rovers in Northern Ireland for the last week.

Marsh-Brown, 22, joins the Gloucestershire side on a two-year with the option of a third.

Green chairman Dale Vince told the club website: “We’re very pleased to have Keanu join us – he’s a talented young player we’ve had our eye on for a little while now.

"He'll get his debut tonight as we kick off our pre-season with a friendly against Cardiff City at the New Lawn.

"We’re looking forward to what Keanu will bring to our squad and our push for promotion.”

Forest Green initially made an offer for Marsh-Brown last summer which was accepted by the Bees. However, the wideman turned down the chance to join the Stroud outfit in favour of remaining at The Hive.

There was also an offer from Championship side Blackpool but the Times Series understands that was turned down by chairman Tony Kleanthous as the sum offered up front did not meet the club's valuation of the player.

The Antiguan international spent time training with Peterborough United last season too but a move to London Road failed to materialise.

Marsh-Brown’s contract with the Bees had been due to end this summer but the club activated the one-year option they held in the hope of receiving a more substantial fee for his services.

In total, Marsh-Brown scored 16 goals in 58 appearances for the Bees after initially joining on loan last season.

He initially joined on loan from Yeovil Town in 2013 but fell out of favour last season and made just two starts in the Conference, scoring twice. His last appearance in black and amber came at Grimsby Town in January.
