Hendon followed up their 4-1 friendly win against Northwood on Saturday with another victory by the same scoreline against Tring Athletic on Tuesday night.
Much like Saturday the Greens started well and created chances but could not find the net to break the deadlock against the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side.
With the game goalless at half time, the Greens took the lead early in the second half after a good cross from Jake Cass was diverted in by the Tring defender for an own goal.
Hendon were soon pegged back after Tring's Ben Seaton scored from the penalty sport to make it 1-1.
They were not level for long, though, as Lee O’Leary scored to put the Greens ahead. O’Leary doubled his tally soon after, putting clear day light between the teams.
The score remained 3-1 until a late Sam Flegg goal sealed the victory for Hendon. The Greens' next game is a trip to St Neots Town on Saturday with kick-off at 3pm.
