Barnet drew a blank in their fourth pre-season friendly at National League South side Maidenhead United, the game finishing in a goalless stalemate.
Half-time substitute Matt Stevens went as close as anyone for the Bees but saw his header cleared off the line.
Chances were at a premium in a game which saw the Bees field former Reading goalkeeper Dan Lincoln as a trialist. The 20-year-old gloveman came through with 90 minutes and a clean sheet under his belt - surely doing his chances of securing a contract no harm.
John Akinde went close on a couple of occasions but the powerful frontman was snuffed out in his efforts to boost a pre-season tally which has seen him net four times in two games prior to today.
For Barnet there is a significant step up in opposition to come next week as Peterborough United visit The Hive on Tuesday before Championship side MK Dons make the trip in a week's time.
Barnet: Lincoln; Hoyte (Vilhete 65), Nelsen, N'Gala (Roache 89), Johnson (Muggleton 65); Yiadom (Gambin 65), Weston (Togwell 65), Champion (Kennedy 87), Tomlinson; Akinde (Batt 65), Lisbie (Stevens HT).
