Barnet head coach Martin Allen say’s tonight’s clash with League One Peterborough United will be their first “90 minute game” after labelling Saturday’s stalemate at Maidenhead United a “training-type” fixture.

The Bees face a testing week with Dave Robertson’s side visiting The Hive tonight (7.45pm kick-off) before Championship new-boys MK Dons make the trip to Edgware on Saturday.

And speaking to the club website after seeing his side draw a blank at York Road on Saturday, Allen was keen to stress the difference between the two fixtures.

He said: “Today (Saturday) was always the last training-type game and I suppose things change now on Tuesday night. I should have everybody available and it is going to be more of a ninety minute game.

“We need them all to be injury-free and match sharp. We need to bed in new players and keep building on the team spirit and camaraderie which were crucial and important things that we had last season in abundance.

“There is room for improvement but I think every club could say that during pre-season. They are coming together nicely and we will keep evolving, there is no doubt.”

Michael Gash, Bira Dembele and Graham Stack all missed Saturday’s draw and Allen confirmed they would return for the Posh.

He explained: “Bira Dembele’s wife had a baby in France yesterday (Friday) morning and Michael Gash was at his sister’s wedding today so they will both be back in on Monday.

“Stacky has had a slight tweak in his calf so he hasn’t been available and obviously we miss him as he is a big character on and off the field in our dressing room.”

The Posh were busy over the weekend adding four new faces to their squad ahead of tonight's clash.

Strikers Lee Angol and Souleymane Coulibaly have both been snapped up, along with left-sider AndrewFox and former West Ham United midfielder Kieran Sadlier.

Posh have played four pre-season friendlies themselves, winning three and drawing the other 3-3 against West Ham.

Robertson's side defeated a youthful Tottenham Hotspur XI 3-2 on Saturday at London Road.
