Superb bowling from Marc Reingold enabled Stanmore to pick up a six-wicket win at Ealing in Division One of the Middlesex League on Saturday.

Reingold was the star for the visitors, returning stingy figures of three for eight, while Tushaar Karia claimed three for 25 to dismiss the hosts for a paltry 99.

Chasing a lowly target Stanmore made a sluggish start as opening pair Kunal Mehta (4) and Rishi Pandya (7) were soon back in the pavilion.

It fell to Grant Reingold (27 not out) and Jay Parmar (26) to deliver the necessary runs, reaching 100 with six wickets in hand after 31.1 overs.

Finchley cannot afford many more results like this as they slipped ever closer to the Division One relegation zone with a six-wicket loss at home to Richmond.

A dire batting performance from the hosts set the tone for the afternoon and leaves Finchley just 11 points above Southgate in the final relegation spot.

Put into bat, Finchley never recovered from the early losses of Cameron Steel (6) and George Charlton (10).

And were it not for the runs supplied by Frahan Butt (20) they would not have even reached their well-below-par total of 90 all out.

Facing the virtually impossible, Finchley managed to take four Richmond wickets – with Butt snaring two – but they could only delay the inevitable and the visitors were home with 93 from 19.5 overs.

Potters Bar held out to secure a draw at home to Harpenden in the Hertfordshire League Premier Division.

Harp were strong with the bat and after winning the toss, posted 284 for six after a stand of 88 for the first wicket.

And Potters made sure of taking something by posting 196 for six in reply with Don Manuwelge (79 not out) top scoring.

Old Finchleians were made to pay for a poor batting display as they went down by 43 runs at home to Old Albanians in Division One.

Chasing 162 all out following good work from Mayur Depala Jnr (four for 34), OFs failed spectacularly in overhauling that total.

Divyesh Chitroda (20) and Depala Jnr (20) shared top-scorer duties in a dismal total of 119 all out.

In the Championship, ruthless bowling from Totteridge Millhillians ensured an eight-wicket win over Langleybury.

Hayden Butterworth (three for two) and Shaun O’Brien (two for seven) removed Bury for 93 before the visitors hit 94 for two.

In Division Six B, Mill Hill Village breezed to an eight-wicket win at Totteridge Millhillians Thirds.

Set 93 to win, the Village strolled to victory with 93 for two.
