Barnet defender Hakeem Odofin has yet to agree personal terms with Wolverhampton Wanderers though the two clubs have settled on a price, the Times Series understands.

The 17-year-old defender, who made his league debut against Northampton Town last month in a 3-0 defeat, is still expected to leave The Hive for the Championship side.

Odofin joined the Bees' Under-18s from Reading last season and has been involved in Martin Allen’s first-team squad this season, playing 75 minutes of Barnet’s FA Cup defeat to Newport County last month.

He has been an unused substitute on seven occasions for league fixtures and Allen has been quick to talk up the defender’s quality.

“I’ve also got a young player here called Hakeem Odoffin,” said Allen in November. “You wait until you see him play. Oh my God, you just wait until you see that kid play.

“You will get the chance to see him play soon. It won’t be for long because he won’t be playing at Barnet for long because he will be a top player and he’s probably unfortunate he’s not in our team now.

“I knew a little bit about him but he’s been training with us for the past few weeks and he’s a fantastic young player.”
