Hendon needed an 82nd minute equaliser to clinch a 2-2 draw at home to Canvey Island on Saturday in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Dave Diedhiou met Tony Taggart's free-kick after 21 minutes to give the Greens the lead.
Cliff Akurang levelled on the stroke of half time with a bicycle kick.
The ex-Barnet striker put Canvey ahead in the 80th minute.
However, Hendon made sure of another point in their battle against the drop when Queens Park Rangers loanee Brandon Adams levelled from the spot two minutes later for Hendon.
The Greens don't have a game on Saturday. Their next fixture is at home to Brentwood Town on Saturday, March 26.
