Barnet have moved to add a sixth January signing in the shape of Forest Green defender Charlie Clough.

The 26-year-old has spent the past two years at The New Lawn, having originally come through the youth system at Bristol Rovers, and has moved to The Hive for an undisclosed fee.

After leaving the Memorial Stadium in 2012, he spent a year at Dorchester Town, picking up the club's player of the year award, but handed in a transfer request soon after and moved to Sutton United.

Within months, Clough was made captain of his new club, and again found himself on the move in January 2015 to Forest Green.

Clough signed a new contract in Gloucestershire in November, tying him to the Green until 2019, but after agreeing terms with the Bees, will spend his immediate future in north London.

He follows Ricardo Santos, Simeon Akinola, Dan Sweeney, David Tutonda and Luke Coulson in joining the Bees during a busy winter transfer window.
