Hendon stayed top of the Bostik Premier Division table with a deserved 2-1 win at Worthing on Saturday.
They had to do it the hard way, coming from behind in West Sussex, in blustery conditions courtesy of Storm Brian.
The opening goal came through former Hendon defender Alfie Young, who let rip with a superb effort which left Tom Lovelock helpless.
Niko Muir levelled up with another strike to add to his sizeable tally in the league with a 14th strike of the campaign from close-range.
And within three minutes they had turned the game on its head, when Josh Walker fired in a well-struck volley.
Gary McCann's side have had better performances this season, but showed why they sit atop of the division with 15 games gone with a hard-fought victory.
