Alex Lozowski said Saracens are brimming with confidence ahead of their Premiership clash with Sale Sharks tonight.

Sarries secured their fourth successive win when they beat Newcastle 25-3 at Allianz Park last Saturday and currently sit second, two points off leaders Exeter Chiefs.

Meanwhile Sale are in good Premiership form, having won consecutive games against Harlequins in January, and London Irish last weekend.

Fly half Alex Lozowski said Sarries were relishing the task at Sale this evening.

“Sale are a very good team, especially at home on a Friday night, so we know the challenge that awaits us,” he said.

“I think they’ve got some outstanding players, they’re very good defensively and very well organised.

“In attack they’ve got players who can hurt you all across the field.

“As a back, looking at their backs we’re aware of how dangerous they are in attack, they’re very quick and elusive.

“We’re going to have to be right on it and are going to have to make sure we don’t give them the opportunities they’re looking for.

“Everyone’s really positive and we got off to a good start on Saturday against Newcastle so everyone’s looking to build on that now.”

Lozowski spoke positively about the atmosphere at Saracens as the Six Nations takes a break this week.

With several players away on international duty, young players have jumped at the chance to impress in their absence, with Max Malins coming on to score his first Premiership try last weekend in the Newcastle win.

“This is a really important four-game block for us during the Six Nations,” he added.

“We’ve got players away so it’s a chance for our squad to show its strength.

“It’s brilliant to see young players getting a chance. These guys have trained really well, coming in every day and doing their best and putting their best foot forward in training.

“Now it’s their time to get onto the field to play and it’s great to see them come on and have such a great impact in bringing that energy.

“For them it’s another opportunity this weekend to get out there and show everyone how good they are.”
