Barnet’s upturn in form continued as they picked up a third straight victory by winning 2-1 at Dover Athletic.

Goals inside the opening half-an-hour for Jack Barham and Byron Harrison’s first for the club proved to be enough for John Still’s men, who now sit 13th in the National League table, four points outside the play-off zone.

Having scored the winner against Dagenham & Redbridge on Monday, it took Barham only four minutes to net his second in two games when he curled the ball home from the edge of the penalty area.

Scorer then turned supplier mid-way through the opening period to set up fellow summer new arrival Harrison for his opening Barnet goal.

Mitch Brundle gave Dover hope when he headed home at the far post midway through the second half, but the Bees were able to hold on to start September how they had finished August.

Barnet: Cousins; Alexander, Robson, Adams, Johnson, Tutonda, Sweeney, Taylor, Fonguck, Harrison, Barham (Walker 75). Subs not used: Matrevics, Sparkes, Mason-Clark, Payne.
