Barnet manager Paul Fairclough was satisfied with a point from this afternoon's trip to Nottingham.

The Bees dominated the second half, but could not find the net in a goalless draw.

Fairclough said: "I'm delighted. If someone had said before the game that we would come back with a point, I would have taken that. It was a good solid point."

Because County are below the Bees in the table, it was vital Barnet never lost.

Fairclough added: "Part of the exercise was to make sure we didn't lose, but we were also very determined to get the three points. We looked the more likely side to score in the second half.

"The players showed a lot of character on what was an atrocious surface. We looked dangerous, but sadly didn't get the goal. I can't remember them (Notts County) creating many chances. The work-rate, passion and commitment of my players was fantastic."

Fairclough said he hoped the point and performance would give his side confidence going into Tuesday's trip to Grimsby, Barnet's bogey side.

The Bees have yet to score against the Mariners, let alone take a point off them.
