Fairclough: We deserved the points

Manager Paul Fairclough believed Barnet were good value for the 3-2 win over Wrexham at Underhill today.

Fairclough said: "I believe we were the better team and deserved to win the game. We created lots of chances.

"A month ago, we didn't know who was going to score, now it's raining goals."

But Fairclough admitted he was concerned about his side's defence at the moment.

"For a neutral, it must have been an exciting game. We are scoring from chances that we create, but are now making poor decisions at the back. It is something we have got to address."

Fairclough added that he would stil not rest until Barnet are mathematically safe, and wanted his side to push on even when they do finally secure their League Two survival, which now looks almost a formality.

"We will still look to get those 50 points as soon as possible," he said.

The Bees have now won four of their last five home matches, scoring 11 in the last three.

"We want to keep this impetus going," he said.

Wrexham manager Brian Little said: "Their first goal just before half time knocked us to pieces. I felt it was the game's defining moment and we never really recovered."
