Barnet & Trent Park finished second to Colchester in their first Southern Men's League match at Hemel Hempstead.

Stars of the day were Richard McCormick, who won the A string 5000m, and Adrian Mason, who won the B string event.

The 4x100m relay team of Nick Lauder, Julian Smith, Sanjay Dewan and Dave Wilcock were also victorious.
