The Borough of Barnet finished 22nd overall at the finals of the London Youth Games in Crystal Palace over the weekend.
Every London borough entered a team, making the annual competition the biggest youth sporting event in Europe.
Layla Hall, sport development manager for the borough, said there were some fantastic medal-winning performances.
Barnet did particularly well in the athletics, where a number of individual gold medals were gained.
There were also medals in the Boccia, table tennis, judo, volleyball, archery, mini basketball and fencing.
Thousands of youngsters from all over London took part in 30 different sports.
The competition was first staged in 1977 as part of the Queen's Silver Jubilee celebrations.
