Barnet are still looking for their first win of the season after another dismal performance at Sincil Bank this afternoon.
The hosts left it late to secure the win, with two goals in the final 15 minutes, but the Bees offered nothing up front.
In fact, they never had a shot all afternoon.
The visitors can have no complaints about the result. Lincoln did all the pressing and were deserved winners.
It was another hugely disappointing performance from the Bees, who have now lost all seven matches so far this season.
Barnet welcomed back central defenders Ismail Yakubu and Joe Devera, otherwise it was the same team that lost to Dagenham & Redbridge in the JP Trophy on Tuesday.
It meant keeper Ran Kadoch was making his league debut, with Lee Harrison again having to settle for a place on the bench.
A torrential downpour greeted the players as they came on to the pitch, making for a zippy surface.
It was a quiet start, the first shot not coming until the 10th minute, Lincoln's Dany N'Guessan driving wildly across the face of goal.
Kadoch then did well to get down to push out a low Stefan Oakes drive from distance, the tricky conditions making the save even better.
Ashley Carew went into the book for a late tackle on the touchline, as the Red Imps continued to make most of the running.
Midway through the half, Kevin Gall tried a delicate chip for the hosts, but the ball was just over.
The Bees were playing deep and most of the play was in their half, though they were at least looking reasonably comfortable at the back.
Kadoch had picked up an injury and his debut ended with ten minutes of the first half remaining, Harrison coming on to replace him.
It was not the most enthralling 45 minutes. Lincoln, for all their possession, had not created too many moments of concern for the Bees, though the visitors had themselves been non-existent as an attacking force.
Barnet started the second half much more positively, with Albert Adomah making a fine run down the right, but it was cynically ended by a defender's trip. The free-kick came to nothing.
It was not pretty, with both sides guilty of some wasteful passes.
The first real chance fell to Gall, but he was pushed wide by Devera, as he broke down the right, and could only find the side netting.
City were getting back into their stride and Ben Wright might have done better with a header on the hour, his effort from a good position finishing wide.
The goal finally came with 15 minutes to go.
Sub Lennell John-Lewis saw a low shot bounce off the foot of the post and N'Guessan was quickest to react, slotting home the rebound.
The same player almost added a second soon after, but Harrison was out quickly to block at his feet.
The Bees were now forced to go forward, still not having given Lincoln keeper Rob Burch a save to make.
At the other end, Harrison made a superb block with his leg to deny Lee Frecklington, with N'Guessan putting the rebound wide on this occasion.
Barnet were struggling to get out of their own half, with Lincoln looking the far likelier to score the second goal of the game.
And sub Adrian Patulea got it with three minutes to go. N'Guessan's run broke down, but the ball fell kindly for Patulea, who rifled a low drive from the edge of the box past Harrison.
The Red Imps were in full control and looking for more, Janos Kovacs seeing a diving header from a corner finish wide, the Bees now just waiting for the final whistle to put them out of their misery.
