Hendon got their pre-season campaign off to a flying start.

The Greens ran out 1-0 winners over Blue Square Premier League newcomers Hayes & Yeading.

Though their hosts fielded a side mostly made up of trialists, it was still an encouraging win for Gary McCann's troops.

Harry Hunt hit the only goal of the game, after good work from Jamie Busby.

However, Hendon's second pre-season clash ended in a 2-1 defeat at Maidenhead United.

Busby scored the Greens' only goal from the spot.

Hendon are involved in the Hillingdon Tournament at Hillingdon Borough FC this weekend.

They are also due to play Wembley FC at Vale Farm on Tuesday. the two clubs will be groundsharing next season.
