Barnet were swept aside by high-flying Rotherham at Don Valley.
It was an end to their seven-match unbeaten run in League Two.
The hosts got off to a flying start with a Kevin Ellison goal on five minutes and never really looked back.
Nicky Law doubled the lead midway through the first half, before Adam Le Fondre wrapped it up on the hour.
Manager Ian Hendon made a number of changes from the side that drew with Bradford City last week. In defence, Joe Devera, Daniel Leach and Kenny Gillet all started, while Nicky Deverdics came into the midfield, with Micah Hyde missing. Albert Jarrett and Albert Adomah started on the wings, while Paul Furlong returned at the expense of Jake Hyde up front.
The Bees will be hoping to bounce back on Tuesday, when they host Dagenham & Redbridge.
Saturday's defeat, their first in the league since the opening day of the season, has seen Ian Hendon's troops slip to eighth in the table.
