Barnet remain in the relegation mix after a Gary Breen own goal denied them a point at Edgar Street this afternoon.
The Bees looked to have done enough to have at least come away with a draw, but Breen struck at the wrong end, for the second consecutive away game, 20 minutes from time.
The Bulls had taken the lead through James McQuilken on the half-hour.
But Barnet were back on level terms just before the break via a Richard Rose own goal.
Bees boss Ian Hendon made a couple of changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Burton seven days ago. In came Kenny Gillet to partner Breen in the centre of defence, while there was also a start for Ed Upson, in for Micah Hyde.
At least there was some comfort for the Bees, with second-from-bottom Grimsby Town also losing yesterday.
It means Barnet remain 11 points clear of the drop zone.
Hendon's side host Chesterfield this Monday.
It will be a tough game for the Bees, as the Spireites beat champions-elect Rochdale this afternoon.
