BARNET FC lie inside the League Two relegation zone tonight after shipping two goals in four minutes at home in a match they had dominated.

Bradford City plundered all three points at Underhill as Leon Osbourne on 65 minutes and then Tom Adeyemi sunk the Bees.

The result means the Bantams leapfrog above Barnet in the table and Mark Stimson's side now lie second bottom.

The performance by the hosts in this crunch game merited more than defeat, but Barnet simply did not make their dominance count and then were punished for sloppy defending.

City boss Peter Taylor sent out his side to defend in numbers and that was enough to frustrate the likes of Mark Marshall and Mauro Vilhete who posed the most threat for Barnet.

The Yorkshire side soaked up massive pressure for the first hour of the match and then struck.

Osbourne rocked Underhill when he made a shooting angle by cutting inside in the box and then placing his effort into the far corner past the diving Cole.

Reeling from the blow of going behind, Barnet quickly conceded again.

A giant punt from the back was latched on to by Tom Adeyemi who left substitute Anwar Uddin, on for Grant Basey, trailing in his wake.

Adeyemi's finish was cool into the bottom corner from the edge of the area, past the on-rushing Cole.

This defeat will sting Barnet because they looked much the better side for two-thirds of the contest.

Mauro Vilhete drew a sharp save from Bantams keeper Jon McLaughlin when he rounded off a run into box from the right wing with a driven shot, on 31 minutes.

Earlier, Ricky Holmes fired the first shot of the game narrowly wide of the left post after he got in front of Steve Williams to meet a knock-down on the edge of the box, on 23 minutes.

Cole in goal for the Bees had little to do in the match except pick the ball from the net.

Barnet had huffed for so long by the close that they had no puff left to pierce the massed ranks of City.

Taylor's side set out their stall early on and took their chances. The hosts never recovered from the double blow and rarely threatened to get back into the contest.
