Finchley based racing driver Prajesh Shah suffered a disappointing start to his MSV F3 Cup career as he did not begin either round at the opening race at Oulton Park.

The 19-year-old is in his first season in the championship and is competing for the Chris Ditmann Racing team.

However, he will look to achieve his first finish at F3 level as the drivers head to Donington Park this weekend (April 28-29) for the second event on the calendar.

Shah started his race career at a relatively late age after beginning karting as a 15 year old.

He made quick progress and after spending three years at indoor go karting progressed to single seater racing in 2011.

It was a successful transition for Shah and he entered the Monoposto Championship Season from round 6, racing in the 1800 class initially with Meyer Motorsport.

For the last four rounds of the championships he switched to his current side and finished the season with four consecutive podiums - including his victory at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.

His performances meant he achieved Rookie of the Year in the SEMSEC Open Single Seater Championship and finished third overall despite participating in only six of the 12 rounds.
