Former England captain Steve Borthwick will lead Saracens against the BGC Asia-Pacific Barbarians in Hong Kong’s Chartis Cup on Saturday, June 9.

The squad features 2007 World Cup-winning Springbok captain John Smit, along with England internationals Borthwick and Richard Wigglesworth.

Sarries will take on a star-studded team including Mils Muliaina, Jerry Collins, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Rico Gear, Shane Williams and the Tuilagi brothers, Alesana and Henry.

Borthwick said: “We’re very excited about this Saracens visit to the Far East and we’re looking forward to playing the BGC APBs in a highly competitive game.

“After watching the Hong Kong Sevens on TV, we can’t wait to experience the unique atmosphere generated at the Hong Kong Stadium.”

The Chartis Cup is a charity match, with proceeds going to the Royal Project office in Thailand to help rebuild schools in areas affected by flooding.

The Men in Black are holding a series of fans forums with supporters to discuss their plans for next season and the move to Copthall.

Chief executive Edward Griffiths will be at Old Albanians on Monday night from 7.30pm, at Fullerians on Tuesday and Hertford Rugby Club the following evening.
