Barnet record 6-0 win over Burnham Ramblers

The Bees fielded different sides in either half with seven trialists handed the opportunity to impress Mark Robson.

The rain had finally stopped and the interval meant there was an opportunity to clear some of the water of the pitch.

Four minutes after the restart Barnet went ahead as trialist Jake Hyde, who spent the 2009/2010 season at Underhill, headed home.

The Bees were able to move the ball better in the second period and they extended their lead as Oliver Lee fired in from the edge of the box.

Three minutes later and it was 3-0. Good passing in midfield allowed Lee to break through the host’s defence and he calmly went round the keeper before rolling the ball into the net.

Ramblers forced second half Bees keeper Sam Cowler into a couple of saves but they were routine for the young stopper.

Hyde then deftly headed in his second and Barnet’s fourth before fellow trialist Charles Ademeno tapped in after a pinpoint Jordan Brown cross.

The scoring was completed three minutes before full time as trialist Anthony Edgar chipped the ball into the box and Mauro Vilhete volleyed home.

The Bees continue their pre-season campaign next weekend as they travel to St Albans.
