Narrow defeat for Potters Bar against Banbury

Potters Bar were beaten by 19 runs against Banbury in Home Counties Premier League Division One.

After inserting their opponents, Bar started well as they dismissed opener Lloyd Sabin for just four runs.

However, that introduced number three Craig Haupt and he went onto provide a match winning 93 off just 111 balls.

He was well supported throughout by Nathan Hawkes (44) and I Tew (55) as Banbury amassed a final total of 203 for two from 39 overs.

The Bar reply began positively as openers James Kettleborough (30) and Antony Keely (34) created a good platform.

However, following their dismissals only George Scott (63) added real value to the innings as Potters Bar were all out for 184.

Luke Ryan did the majority of the damage with the ball for Banbury, as he claimed five for 49.
