Finchley Racing Team’s Vince Divine takes second at Kentish Road Race

Finchley Racing Team’s Vince Divine came home in second place at the Kentish Road Race, which was part of the season long Ms-Stina Series.

The race was nine laps of a seven kilometre circuit with the obligatory climb on every lap.

Divine, Ossie Assem and Dermot Kealey represented Finchley and the race began at a steady pace.

After starting strongly, Divine opened up a lead before being caught after five kilometres. A group of four then formed, working together and built up a lead of three minutes with one lap remaining.

At the finish a rider from the Kenton club launched an attack and Divine tried to reach him, but in the end had to settle for second place.

Assem and Kealey attacked out of the peloton and finished in seventh and ninth respectively.
