Newly-promoted Bognor Regis Town claimed a 3-1 victory against Wingate & Finchley.
The Blues started the contest well and Anderson Pinto found the side netting early on from a Sam Berry free-kick.
However, the visitors began to take control and Bognor’s Terry Dodd went close as he nearly diverted a cross into the net.
Wingate came close late into the opening 45 minutes but Berry’s shot from distance failed to test Craig Stoner.
After the interval, Murat Karagul saw a shot cleared off the line after he had beaten the Bognor goalkeeper.
It proved to be a critical moment in the game as Wingate fell behind a minute later as Dodd opened the scoring with a fine strike.
In the 72nd minute the lead was doubled as Mu Maan found the far corner with a good finish.
However, within a minute Leon Smith pulled a goal back. Karagul made good progress down his left wing and cut the ball back for Smith to slide home from ten yards, wrong-footing Stoner.
Wingate pushed forward in search of an equaliser but left themselves exposed in defence and Doug Tuck sealed the points with Bognor’s third goal.
