Barnet boss Mark Robson states Ricky Holmes performance against Rotherham United was 'excellent'

Barnet boss Mark Robson stated Ricky Holmes was "excellent" against Rotherham but added he could not fault any of his players against the Millers.

Holmes’ performance rightly earned him the man-of-the-match award. He caused the Rotherham defence problems throughout with clever movement, quick dribbling and a strong work-ethic to close down across the pitch.

Understandably, Robson was delighted with the performance.

He said: "I thought Ricky was excellent. He played very well, was brilliant for the team and took up clever little positions which is something we’ve worked on.

"It is the type of performance we want from Ricky and that Ricky wants throughout the season, the only disappointment was that he didn’t get the goal he deserved.

"But all round there wasn’t anyone that I could fault. One or two got a little tired towards the end of the game which you would expect, but overall it was a good team display."
