Former Fulham striker Collins John receives international clearance to play for Barnet

Collins John has received international clearance and is eligible to make his debut against Plymouth at the Underhill on Saturday.

The former Fulham striker signed for Barnet a fortnight ago and travelled to Southend last Saturday but has yet to feature for the Bees.

Manager Mark Robson told the club's website: "It's been an extremely long two weeks waiting for Collins' clearance and we are all relieved that another piece of the jigsaw is in place.

"Collins is an experienced player and we look forward to having him available."

Chairman Tony Kleanthous added: "I'd like to thank the fans for being so understanding and to my administration staff who have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks overcoming many obstacles in getting Collins clearance."

There is no suggestion John will be available to play tonight in Barnet's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Leyton Orient.
