Barnet’s coaching staff continues to grow as former Ajax Academy youth product Ulrich Landvreugd has joined the Bees as assistant coach.
Landvreugd is an UEFA A licensed coach as has previously worked at Ajax’s famed youth set-up.
The Dutchman will manage young player’s progression into the first team and will help Kenny Brown, who joined Barnet in the summer, oversee the Under-21 development squad.
Barnet’s Academy manager James Thorn told the Bees’ website: “I am delighted to welcome Uli as part of our coaching team here at Barnet. This will allow me to promote Andy McMillan to Head of Academy Coaching which is a new requirement under the Elite Player Performance Plan.
“This is as a result of our recently achieved status as a Category 2 Academy, the only one in League 2, which requires the formation of a separate Under-21 squad and an increase in contact time across all age groups.
“The requirement for well qualified experienced coaching staff is essential and we are searching Europe to find the best available to help educate and develop our young players.”
