Barnet goalkeeper Graham Stack has been named Conference player of the month for August after keeping five clean sheets in six games.

The 32-year-old gloveman has been at the heart of a defence which has conceded just twice in six league fixtures, helping the Bees to the summit at this early stage.

Stack has only been beaten in one match this season - the 2-1 defeat by Lincoln City on August 16, which was the Bees' only defeat of the campaign thus far.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper joined the Bees in 2012 following his release from Hibernian and has since made 81 appearances for the club - the most he has made for any of the ten clubs he has played for during his professional career.

Halifax Town manager Neil Aspin was named manager of the month after guiding the Shaymen to second place in the Conference standings, only behind Martin Allen's Bees on goal difference.
