Keanu Marsh-Brown will join Charlie MacDonald in missing Barnet's trip to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, whilst Jack Saville is expected to return to training this week.

The winger, who turned down the opportunity to join Rovers on loan earlier this month, is suffering from a recurring thigh problem.

Said Allen: "Keanu was injured in training on Thursday and he pulled out of training with a thigh strain. So he is not available and now he needs some work on his thigh because it is a recurring problem."

Skipper MacDonald has missed Barnet's last three Conference fixtures after suffering medial ligament damage to his knee, leading to the month-long loan signing of Yeovil Town striker Sam Hoskins.

Asked for an update on the 33-year-old's fitness, Allen said: "Charlie has been for a scan and he saw the consultant yesterday afternoon (Monday) and also had an injection into his injury yesterday afternoon.

"We are hoping he will be back within a month."

The Bees head coach was able to provide more encouraging news on Jack Saville, who has missed Barnet's last two with an ankle ligament problem, and winger Mauro Vilhete.

Allen said: "Mauro is getting closer, but I don’t think he will be back for Saturday. Jack Saville is not training at the moment but we are hoping to have Jack back training on Thursday or Friday."
