Barnet forward Iffy Allen has joined Wingate & Finchley on a three-month loan deal, despite denying he had made the switch earlier today.

The Bees announced the 20-year-old had joined Wingate & Finchley on loan but the attacker was unaware the move had been completed at the time and tweeted The Times Series to deny he had left The Hive on loan.

Replying to The Times Series' original tweet about his move, Allen replied: @iffy_Allen: @Barnet_Bee no I haven't [moved out on loan].

However, the move has since been confirmed and Allen has taken to Twitter once more to take responsibility for the mix-up.

Allen tweeted: @iffy_Allen Apologies at the time I did not know about the loan move but as of now I have gone out on loan.

The former Fulham youngster is a product of the club’s academy and made his debut in an FA Cup defeat by Oxford United in 2012.

He has since gone on to make two starts and six substitute outings for the club, with his first goal coming in the 3-3 draw at Lincoln City on the final day of last season.

Born in Lambeth, Allen spent time out on loan at Kingstonian and Redhill last term, before returning to The Hive to make three appearances towards the end of the season.

Danny Nielsen's Wingate & Finchley are eighth in the Isthmian Premier Division and host VCD Athletic on Saturday.
