Elliot Johnson could be in line to win his first England 'C' cap after joining Andy Yiadom in Paul Fairclough's squad.

The Bees pair have been included in Fairclough's 29-strong squad for their International Challenge Trophy fixture with Estonia Under-23s on Tuesday, November 18, at The Shay - home of Halifax Town.

Yiadom has been capped by England before, but for left-back Johnson, this is his first opportunity to represent the Three Lions.

Johnson, 20, made his Barnet debut in 2012 after joining the club's academy from Norwich City's youth set-up. The Edgware-born defender has since gone on to make 73 appearances for the club, scoring twice.

With FA Cup first round replays scheduled for the same date, former Bees manager Fairclough has named a larger-than-usual squad to compensate for potential drop-outs.

Fairclough's side cannot advance to the next stage of the competition following defeats by Slovakia and Turkey and will instead look to end their tournament on a high.

Speaking to the FA's website, Fairclough said: "There is little we can do apart from hope for the right outcomes over the coming weekend.

"If the results go a certain way then up to ten players may have to be released and replaced.

"I am of the opinion that I have covered all possible eventualities and whichever 16 are involved against Estonia will, as usual, perform to their highest level."
