Barnet defender Andy Yiadom has been named in former Bees boss Paul Fairclough's England 'C' squad for a friendly against Cyprus Under-21s next Tuesday.

The former Watford and Braintree Town defender will look to add to his growing collection of international caps when England's non-league representative side take Cyprus in Larnaca.

Yiadom, who has been a model of consistency for Martin Allen's side this season, has won two caps for England already and scored on his last outing, against Estonia Under-23s in November.

Looking ahead to the Cyprus clash, Fairclough told the FA website:

"The squad for Cyprus is, in the main, made up of tried and tested players who have served us well with a sprinkling of new exciting additions.

"Paul Lewis of Macclesfield has become an instrumental player in their push for promotion to the Football League.

"Stefan Payne of Dover has proved to be the perfect foil for Chris Kinnear’s Dover side that have stormed up the table and performed well in all cup competitions.

"The continuity of a squad is always a problem for our exciting team.

"However, on this occasion most players will understand what we are all about and what is expected.

"It should make for an interesting encounter."

The game kicks off at 1pm GMT at the Ammochotos Stadium.
