Barnet failed to take full advantage of Bristol Rovers' slip up as they lost 3-1 at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
With The Gas losing 2-0 to Eastleigh, Barnet could have returned to the Conference summit but instead surrendered the lead to lose to Ady Pennock's side.
John Akinde won and then converted his tenth penalty of the season early on but Dale Bennett lashed home from the edge of the penalty area to level.
The Green Army then took the lead for the first time as Jon Parkin was allowed to steal a march to the back post and side foot home unmarked.
Kurtis Guthrie then got in front of David Stephens to head in the third.
