Barnet will be without David Stephens and Charlie MacDonald for Saturday's Conference clash against Welling United.

Stephens serves a one-match ban for picking up two yellow cards in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at FC Halifax Town, which means Jack Saville will deputise for the former Hibernian centre-back.

Club captain Charlie MacDonald is sidelined with a calf problem picked up in the 3-1 win at Altrincham and the experience forward is still expected to be out of action for a fortnight.

The Bees will go into the game knowing what is required for top spot as Bristol Rovers host Aldershot Town this evening (Friday).

Tuesday's draw at The Shay saw Martin Allen's side build a one-point lead over the Gas, who will re-take the lead in the chase for the Football League by beating the struggling Shots.

Welling United will be without midfielder Joe Healy, who serves the final game of a three-match ban, whilst player-manager Loui Fazakerley is injured.

Left-back Jamal Fyfield is a doubt but if fit, could come into the side in place of Chris Bush.

Barnet have lost both of their last two home fixtures, going down 3-1 to Forest Green Rovers and Grimsby Town, but still have the sixth-best away record in the Conference over the last six games.

Welling, currently occupying the first relegation spot in 21st, have halted their slump by drawing at Gateshead and winning at Lincoln City.

The Wings have the second-worst away form in the division for the last six matches.
