Barnet boss Martin Allen expects to have a fully-fit squad to pick from for Saturday’s trip to Carlisle United but Elliott Johnson is a doubt (kick-off 2pm).

The left-back was withdrawn after just seven minutes of the Bees’ Football League Trophy defeat at Yeovil Town on Tuesday.

Speaking to the club website ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brunton Park, Allen confirmed the defender was a doubt.

He said: “We’ll have to test Elliott Johnson on Friday because he had a twinge in his hamstring.

Andy Yiadom, Sam Togwell and Michael Gash were all rested for that trip to Somerset in midweek as a precautionary measure but the Bees boss is anticipating that the trio will return for Saturday’s long trip to the north west.

“Andy Yiadom is almost definitely fit,” he confirmed. “Sam Togwell just needed to rest his shin so he’ll be fine. Michael Gash had a tight calf in the middle of last week and that needed to be rested.

“I’m expecting all of them to be fit.”

This will be Barnet’s longest trip of the season and the team have travelled overnight in order to get the best possible preparation.

“I wouldn’t expect too many of our supporters to make that journey, that’s for sure,” said Allen. “The 2pm kick off doesn’t help our fans one little bit!

“If you can make it, great. If you can’t make it, I think everybody knows that this team gives everything that they’ve got.

“We’ll be doing our utmost to bring three valuable points back to London.”
