Barnet have been handed a home tie against Brackley Town or Newport County in the FA Cup second round.

The draw was made this evening at Civil Service FC, a founding member of the Football Association.

And Martin Allen’s men were pitched against the winner of Brackley – of the National League North – against Newport, of League Two.

Saturday’s tie between the two sides ended 2-2 with hosts Brackley coming from 2-0 down to earn a replay at Rodney Parade.

The Exiles, who are captained by former Barnet midfielder Mark Byrne, are currently 21st in League Two following an upturn in form under new boss John Sheridan.

Meanwhile, the Bees were 2-0 winners against League One Blackpool, securing their place with minimal fuss.

The ties will be played over the weekend of Friday, December 4 to Monday, December 7 and there is £27,000 awaiting the winner of every tie in prize money.
