Barnet loanee Harry Taylor was unable to prevent Hampton & Richmond Borough falling to defeat at East Thurrock United on Saturday.

The youngster started at centre-back once more for the Beavers, who were beaten 2-1 at Rookery Hill in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Ryan Scott put the Essex outfit in front before Harry Honesty doubled up on the stroke of half time. A Simon Peddie own goal gave Hampton hope at the beginning of the second half but they couldn’t rescue a point.

Hampton & Richmond sit fourth in the Premier Division league table, five points off the summit.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Shane Cojocarel was a late substitute as Billericay Town came from behind to draw 2-2 at Enfield Town.

The Blues were two down after 26 minutes thanks to goals from Bobby Devyne and Corey Whitely. But they snatched an unlikely point thanks to second half goals from Teddy Naisbitt and Alex Stephenson at the death.

Attacking midfielder Cojocarel came on five minutes from the end to assist Billericay's successful chase for an equaliser.

In Isthmian Division One, centre-back Joe Gater played the full 90 minutes as Cheshunt drew 0-0 at AFC Sudbury.

This was the first time in his four matches on loan with the Ambers that Gater had not tasted victory.

Attacker Ben Tomlinson, on loan at Tranmere Rovers, was not in action as the National League side didn’t have a fixture.
