Ten-men Barnet picked up a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday to move 14 points clear of the League Two relegation zone.
Gavin Hoyte got the decisive goal after five minutes, the first of his career, volleying home at the near post after Sam Togwell's long throw on.
The Bees held out for victory over the high-flying Gas, even after Andy Yiadom was dismissed for a late challenge in the second half.
