Barnet loanee Ben Tomlinson played 77 minutes of Tranmere Rovers’ stunning comeback win over Barrow on Saturday but missed all of the excitement in a seven-goal thriller.
The attacker was substituted with the score tied at 1-1. Former Bee Adam Mekki put Rovers in front from the penalty spot in the 18th minute before Jason Walker levelled via the same method after the break.
With Tomlinson off the field, Simon Grand and Andy Cook scored in quick succession to give hosts Barrow a 3-1 lead.
But Lois Maynard, Jeff Hughes and Jake Kirby all scored in the 90th minute to complete a remarkable turnaround and give Tranmere a 4-3 win.
In the Southern League Premier Division, Joe Gater played 60 minutes of Chesham United’s 2-0 loss at Kings Ling Town.
He was booked and replaced after 60 minutes with hosts Kings Lynn 2-0 up already.
Wes Fonguck and Ryan Gondoh (Hendon) saw their game at Brentwood Town postponed. Mauro Vilhete (Boreham Wood) is injured and unlikely to play again before his loan expires on January 30.
Fumnaya Shomotun, who had been on loan at Staines Town, has returned to Barnet.
