Captain of last season's title-winning Under-18 team, Harry Taylor, has signed a deal which will keep him at Barnet until 2017.

The Bees held an option on the 18-year-old defender which they have now taken up, keeping him at The Hive until next summer.

Taylor, who made his league debut for Barnet against Newport County on Boxing Day, had been out of contract this summer.

He impressed on loan at Isthmian Premier Division side Hampton and Richmond Borough and recently returned to The Hive.

The defender can play at right or centre-back and made his professional debut against Concord Rangers in the FA Trophy first round last season, playing in both ties as the Bees crashed out in a replay.
