Barnet have signed Northampton Town winger Chris Hackett and Mark Randall from MK Dons for the remainder of the campaign whilst Aaron McLean and Tamille Roache have left.

McLean turned down the offer of a new contract with the Bees and has joined National League South side Ebbsfleet United instead.

Meanwhile, young defender Tamille Roache has left The Hive by mutual consent after signing a professional contract last season.

Experienced winger Hackett joins the Bees on loan from high-flying Northampton for the rest of the season and boasts a wealth of experience in the Football League.

The 32-year-old has previously turned out for Oxford United, Millwall and Hearts.

He joined Northampton from the Lions in 2012 and has made more than 120 appearances but his contract is up at the end of the season.

Former Arsenal youngster Randall arrives to bolster the Bees’ creative options in the centre of midfield.

The 26-year-old left the Gunners in 2011 after loan stints at Burnley, MK Dons and Rotherham United. He has since spent time with Chesterfield, Ascoli and the Dons again.

He is a former England Under-17 and Under-18 international.

Discussing the departure of McLean, who joined Barnet on a short-term deal in August, Martin Allen told the club’s website: “This week we offered Aaron McLean a contract extension that he turned down.

“Aaron has now left the club and is ready and waiting for his next opportunity.

“Aaron has been a terrific centre forward, a really good guy around the dressing room and has a good personality and character.

“But there’s no need to panic, as we have ‘the Gashman’ (Michael Gash) now ready to step in.

“Shaun Batt was superb in the game against Southend United on Tuesday. Don’t be fooled by his energy and running – now that he is fully fit I’m sure that we are going to see the best of Shaun Batt.

“Young Matt Stevens will also make the step up.”

McLean scored five times in 13 league starts for the Bees and made a total of 22 appearances for the club.

Roache made his one and only appearance for Barnet in the 6-2 FA Trophy first round replay defeat against Concord Rangers last season.
