Martin Allen could hand debuts to three new signings as Barnet host Carlisle United at The Hive tomorrow.

The Bees signed winger Chris Hackett on loan from Northampton Town for the remainder of the season yesterday and added MK Dons midfielder Mark Randall on a deal for the rest of the campaign.

Alie Sesay joined the Bees on an 18-month contract from Leicester City this morning.

Both could be handed their debuts with Andy Yiadom serving the first game of a three-match ban following his red card in the 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers last weekend.

Yiadom and Luke Gambin are the only senior wingers left at the club apart from the transfer listed Ben Tomlinson, who is highly unlikely to feature.

Barnet have won three of their last five – all at home – and therefore boast the second best home record in League Two.

Allen expects the same high standards to be met again on Saturday. He told Bees Player: “We’re setting high standards at the moment.

“Although we lost away at Cambridge United I thought we played very well. We had a nightmare at Northampton Town which we’ve put firmly behind us.

“But in some of the other games we’ve played recently I think we’ve done very well.”

Addressing opponents Carlisle, currently tenth in the table, he said: “We had a good away game up there where it was a bit of an open game (Barnet lost 3-2) but Keith Curle has put together a good team.

“They’re near the top of the league. All these teams are tough challenges every week we have to play against. We’re up against it. It’s time to go again.”

Cumbrians boss Curle knows the Bees can be a threat. Barnet fell 2-0 behind in 20 minutes but scored twice in as many minutes to go in level at half-time before losing 3-2.

He told the club’s website: “We saw earlier in the season that Barnet are a good side. They want to try and play but they’re not scared of going forward early. If they sense a weakness they will keep knocking at your door.

“That’s where you have to keep the ball away from them and cause them some problems by getting into good areas.

“We probably saw the best and the worst of them when they last played us, but you can guarantee that a Martin Allen team will try something else if what they’ve set out to do isn’t working.”
